( Arms.), cachaleith ( H.S.D.), a gate; co-cliath, "co-hurdle"; See cliath, cleath, hurdle, wattle. Also cachliag, (C.S.). It has also been explained as cadha-chliath, "hurdle-pass". Carmichael gives alternate cliath-na-cadha.
